The Foundation has one objective: Get the information to the patients. We do this via:
Lectures
Based on the results of the above mentioned studies, The Foundation has designed a series of lectures on the basic principles of gynecology. The lectures employ common language and pictures, and are delivered by speakers who are enthusiastic and knowledgeable about their fields. We emphasize learning about the normal function of the female anatomy in order to better understand what happens when things go wrong.
Media Communications
Consistent with our goals of increasing general public knowledge, the speakers of the Ruby-Ellis Foundation are creating a presence on local radio programming. We host a call-in show where listeners can ask questions of a licensed physician. Again, the emphasis is not on treatment options or a second opinion, but on understanding the diagnosis the patient already has.
Literature
Ruby-Ellis has a series of easy-reading materials on women's health that many have considered entertaining as well as educational. These will be available for purchase in the near future at speaking events, as well as on the website.
